'Crumble' Video Shoot
---
Okay, I may have looked very serious and dramatic in this video but trust me… it was anything but behind the scenes! I laughed so much that it hurt at times! Lots of people to thank for my 'Crumble' video...
First and foremost, a big thank you to director Jeff Wager! Thanks for your genius, your patience, and thank you for giving me an awesome video to be proud of! My first music video and the bar has been set very high! If anyone is looking to film something, get in touch with Jeff!
Also, a big shout out to Fidel Amos for being an amazing assistant director and shooting most of the subway scenes! You are a godsend Fidel and a pleasure to work with... and you make me laugh so much!
Secondly, the crew: Matt Kiedaisch, Nate Conant, Guy Sabashvilli, and PJ- such a great group of guys! You were so accommodating and so great to work with! Also a shout out to Matt for taking some great pics including that awesome pic that's on my homepage!
And lastly, but certainly not least, the cast! All I have to say is that I have a great bunch of friends! Running around NYC filming with you guys and laughing our hearts out- those memories will live with me forever! The cast are:
- Fidel Amos: Annoying sleeping passenger
- Phil Rodriguez: Disgusting nail clipperer
- Jorge Gallego: Wall Street asshole walking over bum/nose picker extraordinaire
- Paul Burnett: Subway bum
- Leezill Terblanche: iPod girl/litterbug
- Wolfgang Hinck: Creepy annoying subway preacher
- Matt Tuffli and Sue Lorenz: PDA couple
Lots of fun times filming in the big apple. Some have asked what the 'Crumble' video is about. 'Crumble' is a love song, but I did not want to make a cliche video about me and some love interest in a regular/predictable sense. So I decided to make the video about my love/hate relationship with my hometown NYC and it's inhabitants, focusing on the subway culture. So in other words, NYC is my love interest. But as maddening as NYC can be with all it's hustle and bustle and periodic rudeness, there is still no place that fascinates me more and no place that I'd rather be.
Two more videos coming out between now and fall 2013. Both -'Dancing Queen' and 'X Factor' - are looking awesome as well!
Stay tuned...
-Jason
